Bio Page – All About Me

Hometown and High School

I’m from Elberton, Georgia which is a very small town outside of Athens, Georgia. I attended Elbert County High School and graduated in May of 2018. After graduating, I worked at a state park in my hometown, Richard B. Russell State Park. In August of 2018, I began my undergraduate career at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega. I quickly fell in love with the historic town, and knew that I had chosen the right place for me. I am currently in the second semester of my sophomore year at UNG as a Nursing major with a Psychology minor.

Family

My family is so important to me. I live on a farm, with my mom, Dee, my dad, Larry, and my fifteen year old brother, Jack. I grew up with both sets of my grandparents living less than 10 minutes away from my house. My aunt and uncle were also only a short drive away. An important thing to know about my family is we have traditions. For example, every Saturday night, my parents, brother, aunt, uncle, and I have dinner together. Then, on Sundays at lunch, we all go to my grandmother’s house at 12 and eat with her. During the week, we all have such busy schedules between work, school, and extracurriculars so we have always made it a priority to have quality time.

Extracurriculars and Sports

Throughout high school and college, I have been involved in many different clubs. In high school, I was involved in Beta Club, National Honor Society, Friends Helping Friends, and the Newspaper Staff. I was also an intern for the High School News Network, which was a broadcasting team for live-streaming various sports events like football games. I also played tennis for several years. While in college, I am a member of the UNG Honors Program. I am involved in the Psychology Club and the Women’s Rugby Team as well.
