Netflix

https://www.netflix.com/browse

Netflix: a streaming site for movies, TV shows, and documentaries. At this point, I feel like Netflix is a staple for nearly everyone, but especially college students. With new releases every month, the site continuously grows. Have rare free time between classes? Netflix! Had a week full of tests and want something to take your mind off of your impending grades? Netflix!

Hulu

https://www.hulu.com

Yet another streaming website that I frequently visit. However, Hulu is different because while it does have its catalog of movies and TV shows that have aired in years past, it also updates each day with episodes of thousands of shows that were on the previous night. For example, I depend on Hulu to watch the Bachelor every week. Most nights, I am in the library so often on Monday nights, I am not able to watch the live premiere of the episodes. No worries though! I have Hulu to thank for watching it a few days later when I catch a break from studying.

Google Drive

https://www.google.com/drive/

My final favorite is Google Drive. In college, I am constantly typing papers, discussion posts, and study sheets. While the traditional Microsoft Word has withstood the test of time, Google Drive is special because you can access it on any computer with your Google login. Imagine: you spill coffee on your laptop after a long night of stressing over classes. Oh no! What happens to all of your files? With Google Drive, you don’t have to worry about it.

Buzzfeed

https://www.buzzfeed.com

Buzzfeed is another one of those websites that almost everyone has visited at one point or another in their lives. Buzzfeed has anything from news to pop culture quizzes to best dressed lists from recent award shows. It is also a great news source, with their addition of Buzzfeed News. Personally, it is the easiest way for me to keep up with what is going on in the world and also read some funny posts.

Quizlet

Alright, I know I’ve mentioned studying a lot. This is the website that I use to make flashcards for practically EVERYTHING. It is great for definition learning and even has the ability to insert pictures so you can get the hang of tricky graphs or diagrams! Quizlet also has several different learning features such as the classic Flashcard feature, Learn mode, Write mode, and even Spell mode! Once you feel like you’ve mastered your flashcards, you can put yourself to the test with an exam created by the website using your flashcards. It is literally the best study tool I know and I constantly recommend it to people that have not found this hidden gem yet.
